Welcome to One Wish Project
One Wish Project is a nonprofit social service organization that has been serving children and teens experiencing homelessness across Massachusetts since 2017. We are rooted in the belief that every child, no matter their circumstances, deserves the joy and recognition of a birthday celebration. Through partnerships with family shelters and the Department of Children and Families (DCF), we celebrate approximately 2,000 deserving kids each year fostering hope, self-worth, and lasting memories.
We Are More Than Cake and Presents
For a child and teens experiencing homelessness, life is filled with uncertainty—where they’ll sleep tonight, when they’ll eat next, if they’ll stay at the same school tomorrow. These challenges don’t just affect their physical needs; they chip away at their self-esteem, their sense of belonging, and their hope for the future.
One Wish Project exists to change that.
We step into moments that are often missed and transform them into something meaningful. Through personalized birthday celebrations, we remind each child and teen that they are worthy of joy, recognition, and care—no matter their circumstances. In a life where so much feels out of their control, we offer a moment of certainty: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not forgotten.
