Today was a day full of joy and pure excitement as we delivered birthday cupcakes and presents to two brothers who turned six and seven—and were celebrating their very first birthday party! Their eyes lit up as they opened gifts one after another. It was a heartwarming reminder of the magic that comes with childhood’s simplest joys.
It really is a family affair. We always talk about the child we’re celebrating, their situation, interests and how we can help the most. It opens lot of conversations about foster care and homelessness and leaves us with hope in so many ways. Giving back in such a beautiful way is something we’ll all never forget.

When I signed up to volunteer, I didn’t expect to make more than a few deliveries. I’ve been volunteering with One Wish Project now for almost three years and there is no better feeling, especially when you meet the children and get to see their reaction to their cake and presents first hand.
