Our Media Partner
In 2015, Magic 106.7’s Morning Magic co-host, Sue Tabb, discovered 15-year-old Hannah Finn on social media and was inspired by the birthday cakes she was making for children experiencing homelessness at a Lawrence family shelter. She invited Hannah to share her story on her Exceptional Women podcast. A few weeks later, their paths crossed again at the American Red Cross of Massachusetts, where Hannah was honored with the Youth Hero Award and Sue served as the emcee. Their friendship grew from there, and Sue soon joined One Wish Project’s Advisory Board. So moved by our mission, Sue’s passion and dedication inspired the station’s management to make One Wish Project their official charity partner—amplifying our work and allowing us to bring even more joy and celebration to children and teens throughout Massachusetts.
When I actually witnessed a birthday for a young girl in a homeless shelter in Jamaica Plain, I could see the impact first hand. It was powerful. And I was hooked. We need to continue this work.
