Wishes for Hannah
Every September, we honor our founder, Hannah Finn, by celebrating her birthday with purpose. In her honor, we invite our community to donate an amount equal to Hannah’s age that year, transforming her birthday into a powerful act of collective generosity. This unique tradition not only celebrates Hannah’s life and vision but also reflects her unwavering belief that every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated regardless of their circumstances.
Through Wishes for Hannah, donors directly contribute to personalized birthday celebrations for children and teens living in family shelters or foster care, bringing joy, dignity, and a sense of belonging to those who need it most. Each contribution becomes part of a ripple effect of hope and happiness, allowing Hannah’s birthday to inspire real, tangible change in the lives of thousands of young people across Massachusetts.
This initiative is more than a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of compassion, community, and the enduring legacy of someone whose heart for children continues to shape our mission every day.
Sweet Drinks, Sweeter Smiles
Our Sweet Drinks, Sweeter Smiles annual summer fundraiser, invites teams of children to create and run their own lemonade stands, raising as much money as they can over a short designated period of time. This joyful experience teaches the importance of giving back while inspiring entrepreneurship, healthy competition, and confidence—all while proudly showing off their town pride. The team that raises the most earns a special prize, making giving back both meaningful and fun.
Light a Candle Celebration
This is our largest fundraiser each year that unites over 400 community members, supporters, donors, volunteers, family, and friends. It is a celebration of our accomplishments and a powerful testament to how we continue to strengthen our mission.
One Magical Wish
Christmas comes only once a year, but birthdays happen every day! That is why during the holiday season, our partners at Magic 106.7 host a two-week toy drive live on the air, inviting listeners to support One Wish Project by purchasing a toy from our Amazon Wish List. These generous donations help us stock our shelves for the many upcoming birthdays in the new year, ensuring children and teens experiencing homelessness are celebrated with joy, dignity, and care long after the holidays end.

Boos & Bowling was a spooktacular night! Guests bowled, laughed, and celebrated all while supporting One Wish Project’s mission to bring joy, dignity, and birthday magic to kids in foster care and family shelters. Every ticket, donation, and sponsorship helped us to ensure no birthday goes unnoticed!
